I just wanted to give some information of my city (Valencia):
My city is located on the east coast of Spain, (it is Spain’s third city). It is known by the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, with Europe’s largest aquarium, an impressive opera house and more. The old town is charming as well.
To get here after catching the Eurostar from the UK, take the Elipsos Trenhotel overnight from Paris to the city of Barcelona (or from Zürich or Milano) before changing to a Euromed train to Valencia Joaquin Sorolla railway station. Alternatively, you can combine a visit to Valencia, Alicante or Costa Blanca region with a trip to Madrid. The new high speed AVE link has slashed the journey time by over two hours to 90 minutes.
Valencia has two main railway stations:
-Valencia Joaquin Sorolla railway station. It is the new station for high speed trains. You can take here ONLY these long-distance trains:
•AVE: Valencia – Madrid (330km/h)
•ALVIA: Valencia - Albacete - Madrid
•ALVIA: Castellón - Valencia - Madrid
•EUROMED: Alicante - Valencia - Barcelona
-Valencia North railway station. Located in central Valencia, the Valencia North Station can be found located near the bullring. This station serves all the local trains (Cercanias), and the long-distance trains not serve by Valencia Joaquin Sorolla station.
After all, probably you will get hungry, and you have the chance to try Spain's most famous food right where it was born: "Paella Valenciana".
